Playpower Foundation
Playpower supports the design and development learning games for the developing world. The project is currently focused on a $10 computer already available in India, China, Brazil, and elsewhere. It conveniently plugs into a TV set and features a keyboard, mouse as well as gamepads. My attraction to the project lies in the ability to explore an aesthetic of visual constraints while encouraging creativity, literacy, and cognitive skill development.
Our initial development kit includes a guide for getting started with BASIC Programming. This kit will is available for purchase from the MakerSHED. (playpower.org)
